The conference will take place at the University of Leeds, in Baines Wing (Woodhouse Lane, Leeds, LS2 9JT - building 58 on the campus map). There will be three accessible rooms available for the event: one where the conference will be hosted (Baines G.36), one for breaks and lunch (Baines G.28), and one designated quiet room (Michael Sadler G06). Throughout the event, the participants are welcome to take as many breaks as needed and use the quiet room as well as the breaks room at their discretion.
Building Accessibility Information
- The venue and all three rooms are wheelchair/mobile device accessible and are not situated on a road with steep gradient.
- The building has two sets of doors, both of which open automatically. The outside door opening is 140cm (4ft 7in) wide whilst the inside door opening is 160cm (5ft 3in) wide.
- There is a moderate permanent ramp or slope to access the building, located leading to the entrance.
- The building has a hearing assistance system (portable loop) and lighting levels are varied.
- There are accessible toilets (unisex) within this venue designated for public use (with a pictorial signage on or near the toilet door). The accessible toilet is 23m (25yd) from the Baines Wing entrance, located on the right of the building. There is level access to the accessible toilet and the door opens outwards. The width of the accessible toilet door is 84cm (2ft 9in) and the dimensions of the accessible toilet are 148cm x 175cm (4ft 10in x 5ft 9in).
- The venue has its own car park (2 designated parking bays) and the route from the car park to the entrance is accessible to a wheelchair user with assistance (assistance may be required because there is/are slopes/ramps). The car park is not free for all users. Should you need a parking space, please contact the organisers so that adequate arrangements are made.

- For people with visual impairments, there will be programmes available in large prints and, on request, in Braille (please contact the organisers or state it in your registration form).
- Childcare: We are able to offer childcare in the conference venue, provided by University of Leeds PhD students who have DBS checks. Should you need to make use of this service, please contact the organisers as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made.
- Food I: We will be offering lunch and snacks during breaks. The caterers can accommodate any dietary needs. Please state any requirements or allergies when completing the registration form.
- Food II: There will be a conference dinner (TBC).
